AGX team,

When is the next release of ArcGIS Explorer for Desktop, is it coming out with ArcGIS 10.3? Here is a similar question that was never responded to: ArcGIS Explorer - Agile or Waterfall?

Is the "Route Bug stop label problem" resolved? It is referenced here: AGX 2500 Route Bug, Route Directions; Stop label problem

Build 2505 still isn't working on Windows 8.1. correctly.  I have done extensive troubleshooting with ESRI developers and they basically say wait for the next release. The issue I am refering to is the "hang at start-up issue."  This is referenced here:  Re: Installing ArcGIS Explorer 2500 on Windows 8.1 FIXED in 2505

Looking forward to distributing ArcGIS Explorer for Desktop to my clients and I want to wait for a stable version.

Best Regards,

John

John,

An update to sync up the code-base with ArcGIS 10.3 is being worked on.  Those that have been following ArcGIS Explorer Desktop releases over the years know that I do not have a very good track record for predicting release dates.  The best case scenario will have an update available in Q1 of 2015.

Specific to Routing, there will be a change.   The routing service that ArcGIS Explorer Desktop uses is being (has been) retired.   ArcGIS Explorer Desktop will be updated to use a new routing service.  The driving directions repeating stops issue will be fixed, and the results will be better in general.  There is also another change. The new service is not available for anonymous use, ArcGIS Explorer Desktop users will need to be signed into an ArcGIS online organization in order to use it.

As development progresses on the ArcGIS Explorer Desktop, I will post updates on geonet in regards to specific issues that have been addressed for the next release.

Mark,

Please check on the status of the new version with Windows 10, the release notes don't mention this version of Windows.

Best Regards,

ArcGIS Explorer (AGX) requirements now include Windows 10!!!

I would like to hear from anyone using AGX in this environment.

I am still having trouble getting AGX to consistently open without hanging up in Windows 8.1, would also like to hear from others about their AGX experiences with Win 8.1.
