I'm working on developing an integration plan to utilize a GPS device with ArcGIS Collector using an iPad mini. The GPS device vendor advertises sub-meter accuracy using Precise Point Positioning. Researching the Internet, I've found some highly technical articles about PPP however, I'm not getting a good answer to my question. How does PPP work? It sounds like a software derived real-time correction of raw GPS data. But I cannot confirm. Is it as simple as that or are other components required?
