Hi!
I recently downloaded a government geology polygon shapefile that came with an older .aep file. When i open the file in ArcExplorer v2 (its old and was included with the download) its symbology is classified using all the property geological colour-codes.
My question, can I use the symbology defined in the .aep file in ArcMap 10? When i open the the .aep in a text editor i can see the definitions for this particular layer but am not sure what to do with it? Can it be converted to a .lyr or can i open the .aep in Arc3.x (which i dont have a copy of) and then save as .avl? Any advice is appreciated and i will attach the files involved.
