I just recently upgraded my WMX database from 10.0 to 10.2.2. At the end of the upgrade I was able to view the log file from the post install window. Now I am trying to find the .txt file that it referred to, but have been unable to find it.

Can anyone tell me if the file is temporary or if it is written somewhere on disk? I have searched for the file name indicated in the post installation window, but can't seem to locate it on disk. I did find a WMXPostInstallation-20150710-141607.log file in the directory I had defined for logs, but it does not include all the information that I saw when I selected "view Log".

Our upgrade was successful, but that log had quite a bit of information in it, that may prove useful.

Thanks,

Hi Alison,

The database upgrade log should be written to your windows temp folder. The easiest way to find this it to enter %TEMP% into the Windows Explorer address bar and it will take you to whatever you have set as temp (usually it is C:\users\<username>\appdata\local\temp).
