Moving our data to the local govt model, for zoning what is the BASEELEV & HEIGHT used for?

The metadata describes BASEELEV as "the base elevation of the zoning district"... what would be considered the base elevation?

The metadata describes HEIGHT as " the height of the zoning district".... what would be considered the height?

Thanks in advance!

Mary,

Although Im not 100% certain on this, I assume this has to do with the regulations and codes associated with the Zoning district.  Typically there is a height restriction for how tall a building can be in certain zoning districts, but may depend on the City/Town/municipality.

Perhaps the base elevation has something to do with the first floor elevation of a structure or the basement in regards to the elevation required above floodplains in particular zoning districts.

Again, this is not a fact, just my own interpretation until I learn more.

Thanks,

Ryan
