In offline mode (no wi-fi connection), Collector doesn't run on Nexus tablet.

But it can run on iOS device in the same situation (completely offline state) with the same web maps.

Is this behavior a bug? If so, when is this problem fixed?

My devices:

Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9 : problem occurs

iPad mini : Collector works well

Is the problem that the map list never shows when wifi is disabled, so you can't enter the offline map? I think I'm seeing this on my Nexus 9.

Edit - a full device restart made the map list work.

Pete,

Thank you for your reply. The problem is same as what you said.

In offline, I can't see map list at all when I start Collector right after closing it from Android's task button.

After the problem occurs, I've tried to restart device, then the offline map list shows up.

And when I turn wi-fi ON and refresh map list, all maps (online and offline) show up. But after this situation,

when I turn wi-fi OFF and close Collector task, then start it again, the problem occurs.

Shouldn't I close Collector task in offline state? In iOS, this operation causes no problems.

I think it is reasonable to assume that you should be able to close Collector on the Nexus and it should still work offline, I've also got a reproducible crash related to this so I will log the whole thing with Esri after testing with another Android device.

In the past few versions, this problem has remained ever. I'd like to know when this problem will be fixed. In my company, we bought many Nexus tablets for using collector and some times, we have to close collector task because of instability of app's behavior.

Many thanks, Pete!
