How do I resolve this error message I get from Arc Hydro tools: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component?

Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to delineate an urban watershed using Arc Hydro tools. I have successfully completed all the Terrain Processing steps up to Catchment Grid Delineation. When I try to run Catchment Polygon Processing I keep getting this error message:

Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component

I'm not sure what this means. I tried clearing the Temp Folder, Resetting Target Location, and defining the Processing Extent but I still keep receiving this message. Does anyone know how to resolve this??

I'm using ArcMap 10.3 and Arc Hydro Tools 1.2 ?? I believe.

If you are using ArcGIS 10.3, to avoid problems like this you need to download the right installer according your version.

Here you can find the right installer for arcgis v10.3, x86 or x64 if you are using the background processiong at 64 bits
