ArcGIS Online: Add Layer from Web Error

Hello,

I am currently trying to create a web map using layers that are located on an ArcGIS Server. Wehn attempting to add layers from the ArcGIS Server to the web map, I get the following error: "Unable to establish a secure connection to the layer...". Can anyone explain this error to me? Is there a workaround? Any sort of help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

What do your ArcGIS Online Oragnizational Security Settings look like? SSL enabled?

You may want to try https if you are using http ...or the opposite of what you tried. That might make a difference, however, it sounds like the services are secured. If so, and these are your services, you may need to look into creating a proxy on your server to allow AGOL to see them. If they are secured and not your services, then they are not considered public and may not be available to you.
