We developed an election results Web Application which was in line with our vision of making results available for current and all past elections and races. It looks and runs great but some of he interface still does not fit with the way we intend the public to be able to view the data.

Two issues/items of note are:

1) Check boxes versus radio buttons. It makes more sense that a user should only be able to turn on one layer at a time in this map since almost all of the layers overlap. Does anybody have an idea of when ESRI will make this capability possible?

2) We included pie charts in the pop-ups, but the colors used for the pie charts do not correspond with the color schemes chosen for the symbology of each layer. Is there any way to customize the color schemes for charts in the pop-ups?

I hope some ESRI developers will see this and think about adding what we consider to be common sense capabilities.

Thanks for reading and any input any of you can offer.

Hi John,

Check out the Election Results solution: Election Results | ArcGIS for Local Government

We're working on getting this new charting widget integrated into Web AppBuilder with the next release. Keep an eye on the release notes on that page for updates.

Esri's Local Government team is also doing a meetup next month on our elections apps. If you're interested, you can sign up here: http://www.meetup.com/ArcGIS-for-Local-Government/
