Hi, I'm new returning to GIS after almost 12 years. I am trying to export a points dataset from ArcGIS Business Analyst Online (BAO) and import it into ArcMap. I would like to use the point dataset to conduct some analysis on truck routing using Network Analyst. I found the way to export BAO data to Excel - the problem is the export process deletes the street number from the street address (according to the BAO help guide this is supposed to happen?), thus making the data completely unusable in my opinion since it can no longer be geocoded. Any ideas on how to get around this? Thanks,

Hi James,

You need to share the point dataset to ArcGIS Online (AGOL) from BAO either in the default folder or the folder of your choice while sharing on AGOL. Once the point data is shared, login to ArcGIS Online (http://www.arcgis.com/home/) and open the shared points dataset in AGOL and click on publish. This publishes the point data as a service. Once published the page is auto-refreshed and you would get multiple options for exporting under 'Layers'. The first option under the drop-down will be 'Export to Shapefile'.

I hope this helps!

Thanks,

Rakesh
