Hi,

I'm doing my first steps on network analyst. I've created some tests to getting to know how to make all I need for my project.

I needed to copy Lines from my Service Area but it's not working. I'm doing what's described here.

But this is what happens:

Screenshot (31).png

In both these tests the copy option is greyed out.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Júlio

What you want to do is export the data, not copy/paste.  Under your Service Area, right-click on Lines and export.  Note - in this example I did the polygons, but you can do the same for Lines.

service area export data.jpg

Once the export process is completed, you will have a feature class.  You can use that feature class with "Copy/Paste" if needed.

Thanks for the reply.

So the information given by ESRI is wrong? I know copy/paste isn't as good, but sometimes might be faster or simpler.

I'm trying to export directly into the geodatabase but I get this error: "Error exporting data. Cannot acquire a schema lock because of an existing lock."

Edit: After restarting ArcGIS this export worked.
