Converting Date Cells from Excell to ArcGIS

Hi everyone,

I am trying to convert a database in Excel format to ArcGIS 10.3.1. I have used Excel to Table tool for this purpose. But the date cells are messed up as below screen shots show. I have tried to save the Excel file as .xls and .csv formats and have played with the format of cells setting them as date and time, and general formats. Unfortunately it didn't help. I also used the Convert Time Field tool afterwards to show them in the right shape, but instead, it gives me the today's date for all cells.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you tell excel which fields are date fields?

Yes, I did. They are in format of mm/dd/yyyy h:mm

I'm at 10.2.1 when i run the the tool i get the expected results, below is a screen shot of both the table and excel test

Thanks, Wes, but I have set it as Date format as you said (as the screen shot shows), but I wonder why it doesn't go through...
