We currently use the ScaleLine control from the toolkit to show the scale ruler on our map. It works very well when we use it in StatePlane projections where the mapping area is relatively small. However, when we recently switched to use the online (Web Mercator) map, the scale is not very accurate. I supposed this is because the scale line is based on the map projection. In this case, it is quite accurate when we view the map at the equator. However, as we moved further north into United States or Canada, the scale is not accurate at all. Has anyone noticed this problem?
