Hey everybody,

does anyone know if there is a google street view coverage feature layer? In google maps, when you click on the street view icon, blue lines show you where street view is available. This is what I want to add to my map.

Thanks,

Tim

This Stackoverflow question seems to cast doubt about it's availability. Even within Google's Maps API, it seems shielded from its users (tiled PNG overlays). Using a workaround might be outside the terms of use anyways.

I saw this before I posted here and feared that this would be the case

Not knowing how big an area you're interested in, maybe you can work backwards? Take a road layer dataset and assume that everything inside represents Street View coverage. Now delete roads (or portions of roads) that do not have coverage. Not great but, once completed, it's not likely to change so you'd be good to go.
