I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm adapting the default LGIM created along with a parcel fabric and want to add additional domains or subtypes (there are all kinds of platted easements and tracts as an example) but want to "re-package" these modifications so that we possess a "template" version for our organization. Can anyone tell me if they've done something similar?

Thanks for the information. My first question is why you want to create new fabrics? Why not use versions of the original fabric. One way to save the schema of a database is to export your schema only out of that database and into the new database where the new fabric will be housed there will be some modifications to do when create a new fabric but it is doable. I have never tried saving out my parcel fabric symbology as a layer file. I am not sure how that would work. The easiest way I have found to preserve the changes to your symbology is to share your map document, and if you are on working versioned data you can then switch to that persons version, or you can save your symbology and recreate the layers in a new map.

It really comes down to personal preference,

We have made many enhancements to the LGIM both in schema and data for the parcel fabric. By "re-packaging" do you mean data that the end users are using shares the same schema of the parcel fabric?

Thanks for your response Ryan. Yes...I want to "preserve" the modifications I've made so that I can repeatedly create a parcel fabric from scratch and have those be the default schema. Also, if I've made changes to the layer symbologies that come with the ESRI schema (when you create a parcel fabric), can I somehow preserve those (a layer package perhaps?)

Awesome...very helpful Ryan. I suspected as much but it's nice to validate it with experienced users too. I will only really be creating one additional new fabric dataset in a different geodatabase but wanted to be able to move the domain changes forward as well. Is that tool Export XML Workspace Document or is there another GP tool more specific? Thanks for your help Ryan.

Yes use the export xml workspace document. Make sure that it is set to schema only otherwise you will bring all your data over as well, unless that is what you want to do.
