Are you looking for a white background in the mapview or a white basemap similar to that of the dark or grey basemaps?

i.e., http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8b3d38c0819547faa83f7b7aca80bd76

I was just looking for more options. I wanted a white base map. since my map is only going to be of a small campus.

I assume you are looking for a basemap that has nothing on it?  No features showing or anything like that on the basemap?

yes, correct. Do you know if there are any basemaps like this?

Hello Perla Ambriz

Starting in quartz you can change the background of the mapview to white.  I do not believe there is a basemap satisfying the need you are looking for exactly.

If you still want some spatial reference, the light grey basemap that Alexander mentions is probably the best way to go.  You can turn off the labels layer to get a 'cleaner' look and feel.

I've found out that the dark grey http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=25869b8718c0419db87dad07de5b02d8  produces some 'clean' and nice looking maps.

cheers!
