Is there a way to force a document saved in 10.3 to open in 10.2?

I'm trying to open the document which was saved in 10.3, on a computer with 10.2. However it is coming up with an error message saying that because it was saved on a newer version, the .mxd will not open. I know there is an option to save as type in the dropdown. However, I no longer have access to a computer with 10.3 on. Is there another means of making the .mxd open in an older version of the software?

As per my understanding its not possible to open it.
