We are looking to have field inspectors add missing features as they are out in the field (using Collector), but instead of having to return at a future date, be able to create an assignment in Workforce while on site. The mobile workers have roles as both dispatcher (create their own assignments) and mobile workers (complete assignment using Workforce and Suvery 123)
Scenario: Inspector comes across a missing detention pond on the map. The mobile worker then opens Collector and creates a feature; populating the address info, type of Green Infrastructure, number of GIs, etc. That inspector can then create an assignment on that new point while at that location, instead of having to return to the office and use Workforce online (logged in as Dispatcher) to create themselves an assignment. I know Workforce is more robust than having users create their own assignments, but the group is small and the inspectors know what needs to get done. The assignments do not come from a supervisor.
We want to go with this work flow because the EPD will request inspection reports/history on these Green Infrastructure projects that private developers are installing. The group inspecting these GI projects to make sure the property owner is maintaining them.
