Native Projection & WGS84 in ArcGIS Open Data

Does the “Local Projections” Beta Option in ArcGIS Open Data allow for native projection dataset downloads (Shapefile, File Geodatabase, etc.) and WGS84 APIs (GeoJSON and GeoService) at the same time from a single dataset?

This would be the best of both worlds for ArcGIS Open Data. "Download Datasets" in the native projection would be preferred for local analysis, such as measurements and map production, or use "APIs" for web development in the Web Mercator projection (the terms Download Datasets and APIs being the two options in Open Data portal).
