Configuration:

Servers:  Windows 2008 R2 Servers (1 server for ArcGIS and another for the Portal, federated and https configured). Desktop: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit with Office 64 bits.

After install the ressources on the portal server and the ArcGIS Maps for Office 4.0, I can do a login but when I try to do "Add Map" the program try to load, but without results. After about 1 minute I receive a popup with mention : Error - Failed to load - OK.

I installed also the Powerpoint features and this works fine.

Where I need to have a lock ?

Hello,

Our apologies for getting back to your question on a delay. Can you confirm that the URL for Portal for ArcGIS does not:

1.) Contain a "/" at the end of the URL: e.g: https://portal.esri.com/arcgis should be the URL in ArcGIS Maps for Office tab. Not, https://portal.esri.com/arcgis/

2. Additionally, if you have HTTPS configured, can you make sure the URL is https://portal.esri.com/arcgis and not http://portal.esri.com/arcgis ?

Thank you,

Aravind

Hello,

I did a new installation with all the components in the same server. URL arcgis server is https://<machine.domain>:6443/arcgis and the portal URL is https://<machine.domain>/portal. All is federated, and hosting server activated; DataStore configured with managed Database. I change in Office the link to https://<machine.domain>/portal : no problem for the logging with domain user, but unable to load a map. Same effect for Excell as Powerpoint. In powerpoint the Add Data is disabled.

What can I do? Is there a need to open a specific TCP Port?

Best Regards,

Marc
