Hi,
I am having trouble with a map that shows dot density population for a rather large geographic area (greater Los Angeles) at the census tract level. I've noticed that if the layer containing the dot data draws the dots too densely, it'll cause the map to completely crash (I'm using ArcMap 10.3, by the way). I know I can change the dot value so the map's not drawing as many dots, but I think important data is obscured if it's too sparse. Just curious if anyone else had trouble with dot density layers causing their maps to crash?
