Survey123 Dashboard Print Current Response Customization?

In the Survey123 dashboard you can print individual responses and it does a pretty good job of formatting, but is there any way we can customize that report?

Also, is the map supposed to zoom to the geolocation of the incident?  When I view the incident print preview it doesn't focus on the current point. You can manually zoom, but that's not ideal.  Nothing to do with being in the Southern Hemisphere is it?

Hi https://community.esri.com/migrated-users/45152 ‌ and https://community.esri.com/migrated-users/6952

For the default zoom level in the Individual Response, myself and Carl Holt have found that setting the default zoom in Settings->Map tab in Survey123 Connect doesn't work as expected, either the map doesn't appear at all, or it's not centred on the correct location (https://community.esri.com/thread/190499-survey123-dashboard-not-showing-map-in-report-view)

After some testing, I've found:

  • If I publish a new survey with no extent set, the map appears in the Individual Response section but the map shows the whole world
  • If I republish the same survey with Preview Map and Detailed Map options configured, the map still appears in the Individual Response section but is centred over the west of the US
  • If I publish a brand new survey, and configure Preview Map and Detailed Map options, no map appears in the Individual Response section

Setting the location in the web designer does work as expected (although I've found the zoom level does need to be altered manually)

Hi Peter,

Check out this post: https://community.esri.com/message/650724-how-to-design-a-custom-report-template and Philip's suggested workflow

Thanks Carmel,

I was thinking more along the lines of modifying the report that is available on the Survey123 Dashboard.   I can imagine it's something ESRI will eventually make available to modify, but just in case there is some method already available that would be great.

We're 95% of the way there with implementing survey123, it's the last 5% that is always the hardest right? 🙂

Hi Peter Timmers‌,

For the default zoom level in individual response, you can set it in the Settings->Map tab in Survey123 Connect or the home location of a GeoPoint question in the web designer, see https://github.com/Esri/Survey123Community/issues/553 for details.

For the custom report feature, we're considering the feature plan, however, we would really appreciate if you can provide more details about your required in the thread: https://community.esri.com/thread/186724-how-to-design-a-custom-report-template , so we can have a better design for all users.

Thanks.

I agree and report the exact same results from testing.

So a bug?  What's the process to report this again?  If I go through our local reseller I'll be here for a while.

I think there's enough information to harvest the issue directly from this GeoNet post- we don't need you to file a technical support issue (though not doing so loses a few steps in accountability- bugs tracked by technical support provide a uniform way to follow up on their status as they are fixed).

Hi Carmel, cqholt

I'm having a small hiccup in replicating the last point (setting the preview and detailed map options results in no map) - what settings did you use to test?
