I want to convert ground-based LiDAR scans that are in one of the following formats into .LAS files: .fls, .rcp, .rcs, or .e57 Can anyone guide me in the right direction. I don't know of a direct method to do this but I imagine taking those data into an ASCII format then importing them into .LAS types would be a method? Ideas?

LAStools has always been good for point cloud processing and has tools for converting .e57 to las files.  However, that tool requires licensing for any commercial purposes.

Conversely FME might be a way to go.
