Deploying a Webapp Builder server

Hello all,

A recent project required me to create a custom widget, which I've mostly done. For development purposes I've been running the WAB instance off my local machine so I'm the only one able to see the map.

What steps do I need to take to migrate the WAB instance to an actual server so that others could view the map and execute the widget? My company does run its own server for the company website and internal documents so security (open to everyone web app, private internal file sharing) is a concern.

This is a topic I know nothing about so I don't even know what questions I should ask.

Cheers!

Does a custom WAB app need to be deployed to a local web server or can it be entirely hosted in ArcGIS Online?

Kyle,

If you use any custom widgets or you have edited any WAB core core then you have to host on your own server. If you have only configured your WAB app on AGOL then it is fine.
