Hey everyone!

I have a question about my tool that I created with the Python Add In Wizard that was working really well in ArcGIS 10.1

We have recently updated to 10.4.1 and the tool can no longer be installed correctly.

Without changing the version tags within the config.xml file I get an error that returns with:

No GUI components found in this Add-In.
Add-In version does not match.

When I do change the version tags within the config.xml file. it successfully installs onto ArcGIS but all the buttons (tools) are broken as though I have an error within my python script.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have addins written in 10.2.x that work with 10.5.x (not so lucky with Pro), but did have issues at one point.  I put them in a post included below, and another post I found usefull.

Tip: Python Addin - getting custom tools/toolbox to work - GPToolDialog

Add-In Wizard unable to find matching ArcGIS installation on this machine

edit, btw, if you have missing gui/icons, it typically is a path issue, which could be related or a hint to the problem.

Hmmm, thanks for the lead! I think I'll have to dive into this one a bit more. I accidentally left the installation on my ArcMap and it looks like it's working which is extremely strange!

Hopefully I can update this thread soon!
