I started checking out the Analysis Widget. It's got some real capability.
But when I extract data into a file, it doesn't hand the file directly to me via the browser. Instead, it stores the file in "My Content" on the Portal and gives me a link to the file.
Yes, I can go to that link and then download the file.
And then I can delete the file from the portal because I don't need it any more.
I also do not believe that the users will delete the files. They will just clog up the disk with gobs of extracted files they will never look at again.
So, I see a couple of choices:
1) Modify the widget to bypass storing the file in the portal and just directly hand it back to the user, or
2) Use a utility to root around thru the portal to find and discard these files after they become "too old", unless they are marked for permanent retention.
Anyone already faced this and solved it?
