Hello,
I have a question with a list of choices to choose from. When someone chooses other, I would like an additional text box to show up. I have had success working with yes or no questions in the context of the 'relevant' field, but for some reason with select_one [list choice], it won't work. I have tried using apostrophes and quotations, so I don't think it's syntax. Just in case, I have attached a picture of it.

Yes, this is possible in Survey123. To enable this option, in your XLSForm document, on the survey tab (where you define your survey questions), under the type column, input
- select_one [variable] or other
and the other option will appear automatically. Please see image below for an example with "type" as the variable.
