Hello everyone,

After changing the Security Configuration in my local ArcGIS Server workstation I can not access anymore a Feature Layer pointing to SDE.

I changed in my local workstation the Security Configuration in  ArcGIS Server Manager to match the one we have in our ArcGIS  Servers in production. and now it fails with the message "Unable to access the authentication service."

I replaced the 3rd choice with the 1st choice:
"Users from an existing enterprise system (LDAP or Windows Domain) and roles from ArcGIS Server's built-in store"

By this one, that is the one used in our ArcGIS Server Production :
"Users and roles from ArcGIS Server's built-in store"

Then I created a User account in ArcGIS Server, and granted the account access to the feature/map service.

And now I am not able to open the Feature Layer pointing to SDE. Every time I try to open it, it displays the following error message:

Please sign in to access the item on

http://localhost:6080/arcgis ([MyFeatureService])
Unable to access the authentication service.

To sign in I am entering the User created n ArcGIS Server

This is my question. For AGOL Feature Services and Feature Layers can I configure ArcGIS security with
, or does it require option 2 or 3 checked: "Users and roles from an existing enterprise system"

Thanks
