Hi all, I am seeking information on how to do early stage rail alignment planning with ArcGIS from other rail organisations. I am working with a rail organisation that is looking to narrow the field of possible alignments for greenfields work using a around 200 inputs/constraints. These include things like the soil type, maximum grade, maximum curvature, cut and fill, etc. The kind of information I am seeking is how this should be approached, how it was achieved, and what ArcGIS tool sets were used. Alternatively, anyone who could refer me to a stakeholder in a rail organisation who could help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
