I am using esri's Explorer App on iPad, and in the newest updated the hyperlinks in my attribute table no longer show up as hyperlinks, and are not functioning the same way before the update. Is this a known issue, or is there a new way to format hyperlinks?

I have same issue.  No answers from ESRI yet....

One of the users in our organization also reported this.  A tap will yield search results, and clicking on a feature yields a list of attributes.  But by and large it appears as though the attribute values were null, when they are not.  When viewed in a browser, with pop-ups enabled, the attribute values can be seen just fine.  I do want to add that the GIS web services that are in the ArcGIS.com map are http, not https, and access our ArcGIS Server with authentication required.  Perhaps there is a problem with the iPad app accessing http services through an organizational account?

Craig,

Hyperlinking from feature attributes will be restored in the next Explorer for ArcGIS update.

Excellent, when can we expect the next update for the Explorer App?

Sweet. So that eliminates the work around and it will work like it did before?

Hi Mark..

I have noticed other issues with the Explorer app since the mid July release.  Many of my fields that would display value in the app previously return "-" now.  I have attached a image (image1.png).  You will notice the - in the fields that have data (owner, address, city state zip).  The fields with no data (lot) show blank.  Any ideas? This has happen in numerous services that I use.  The data shows correctly in ArcGIS Online web maps and applications, but not on the explorer app.

You can view the app, it is publicly shared.  Search for Redmond Infrastructure.

The search option for data or Find Locations option for layer has stopped functioning as well.  I have attached a screen shot for the layers I have set up in the Find Locations.  Doesn't work.

What happened to groups at the app level.

Thank you,

Mark Chambers

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately the popup issue you are describing sounds like you are running into BUG-000106480.  We are aware of this issue, and working hard on a fix right now. This is an issue many users are running into, and it's a priority for us to resolve. Some possible workarounds for this issue are outlined in https://community.esri.com/groups/explorer-for-arcgis/blog/2017/08/01/explorer-for-arcgis-ios-v1711-...

For the Find Locations - Can you tell me the Version of the app you are testing? do you have 17.1.0 or 17.1.1 (an update we released last week). We addressed issues in Feature Locations (Feature Search), so I want to confirm that you have the latest release to try your scenario against. Joel Whitney‌ will be able to help track down with this functionality.  We will use your Redmond Infrastructure map to try to track this down.

The Browse functionality by Groups is something that many folks have mentioned in their feedback. We are currently evaluating this enhancement.

Would you like to be added to our Beta community? We plan to provide a Beta via TestFlight when we are ready with our next group of issues addressed. This will give you the opportuntiy to test your fixes prior to our app store release, so we can fix any issue folks are reporting with the update.  To get added to our beta community please email Explorer4ArcGIS@esri.com to request this.

Also - you can email the Explorer4ArcGIS@esri.com alias directly with any reproducible steps for issues you find in our released app, or in any Beta.

Thanks,

Heather
