In the map tour application why is the longitude limited to three decimal points and the latitude four?

Hi Kurtis, Thanks for posting. Could you let us know what your workflow is where you are encountering this, and perhaps include a screenshot of what you are seeing. If your Map Tour is shared publicly, you could also paste the URL but no need to.

Kurtis....

if they are indeed limited, it is probably to stop spurious precision being reported.

As for why fewer decimal places being needed for longitude probably lies in the fact that distances between lines of longitude are not the same as you move poleward.

This link has a table that you can compare those values as a function of decimal recordings.

Hi Rupert,

When I attempt to add a new point on my Map Tour I'm given four decimal points for Latitude but only three for Longitude. This doesn't allow me to be as precise as I would like.

Thanks,
