Polygon symbology does not update after editing features in a web application.

I have parcel data that has a field associated with a status : ie zone 1, zone 2, zone 3.

The symbology is driven by these zone types.

When changing zone types using the edit widget, the symbology does not update, even though the attribute table shows the correct zone, the color does not. The color remains as the original zone symbology instead of the updated zone color.

Am I missing something?

This persists after panning or zooming within that area of interest?

I assume the data is not shared publicly, as it's an editable feature service?  Are you using domains within your data?

You are correct on both accounts. The data is sensitive and therefore private. The data was built within a file geodatabase in ArcDesktop 10.5, and uploaded to arc gis online, brought into a web map, then a web app, where it can be edited via dropdown. So do you think that the referential integrity that was setup by using domains is the reason there are symbology errors?
