I was wondering if someone has come across this issue before.
I have a Trimble Nomad 8 Series that was initially running ArcPad 8, but now 10.
The issue I am having is common to both versions.
What i have done is set up various ArcPad projects for users to go into the field and take points, what we are experiencing is the GPS cursor is not refreshing / updating its position as we move in the field.
The only way to correct this is to turn off the GPS and turn it back on again.
On top of all of this is the GPS takes 20-30 mins to establish and lock a connection with the network of satellites, is this normal? Once the connection has been made, the turning off and on of the GPS is quick and the updating of the screen is perfect, its just not doing it real time.
Following a few conversations in the Forums yielded some solutions (updating the firmware on the Trimble etc etc) and this has helped slightly in terms of locking into the network, however we are still having issues with the refreshing of the position of the cursor.
Are there any potential solutions to this problem?
