Hey Alex, you should be receiving information about our sample workflow by email soon.
I was waiting for the email to come which might possibly contains steps and literature how to creat airport diagram....??
Not sure what shortly meant... ?? Please explain. Today or after sometimes....??
You can tell I'm anxious to get on with it.
Hey Alex, I stand corrected. The sample workflows have been mailed to you.
Okay team look forward to the mail and any possible question i might have.
Hi Aeronautical Team,
Could you please send me this workflow to me?
I'm trying to understand how can we use in our bussiness model.
Can you please provide us with a bit more information on how you are trying to utilize the Aeronautical Solution? Do you currently have the solution licensed and installed?
I'm using evaluation version, and I finished all tutorials except for Cartographic Production Tutorial that is under C:\Aero\Tutorials\Cartography because it freezes while Production Mapping upgrading its production library workspace.
Anyway, I would like to build a data model from the scratch and and understand whether we can use it or not,
However, I didn't find sufficient documentation under ArcGIS Resources to meet our needs about some issues such as visual specification tool and data models in ESRI AS.
For instance, can I use my own data model instead of the model provided by ESRI? I couldn't find an answer in documentation for this question...
We will also take some instructor-led courses in your office soon, thus I will appreciate if you provide some guides for beginners here. I'm sure many people will get benefit from them,
Thank you for your prompt answer,
There are a few things to understand about the AIS data model and the Esri Aeronautical Solution before you proceed with your own data model. First, the Esri Aeronautical Solution is built around our AIXM compliant AIS data model. A substantial amount of the tools within the solution require certain feature classes (and sometimes fields) that are present in the data model to operate successfully. The good news is the AIS data model is fully extendable to meet the needs of each individual customer meaning you have the flexibility to add feature classes, tables, fields, domains and subtypes to AIS model to capture any data to meet you own specifications.
This will be a great question to ask your instructor during your Aeronautical training and they will be able to provide you with specific details according to your own specification.
If you would like more information, or would like to provide us with some sepcific details about your own data model before your training course, please email them to us and we can address your data model in detail.
Thank you very much for your answer,
What about the error in Cartographic Production Tutorial, which is on the Evaluation CD, could you please send me working tutorial? As I mentioned before, It freezes while production mapping updating the workspace.
Unfortunately, the tutorial you are trying to run is not an Aeronautical Solution compatible tutorial.
If you unistall the Esri Aeronautical Solution, you will be able to run through the tutorial as it was designed.
