I have read through some of the threads in the forum including "The history and future of the ArcGIS SDKs for .NET" regarding information for 3D visualization in Arcgis Runtime SDK for WPF.

There was a thread last year that mentions the 3D visualization is in the works for the SDK while in the another post, it was recommended that the ArcGIS Engine be used instead.

May I know if the SDK for WPF currently supports 3D visualization and, if not, is there any plans to include it in future release?

Hi,

We are working on 3D visualization for the the ArcGIS Runtime - it was demonstrated at the Esri Dev Summit (visit http://www.esri.com/events/devsummit and look for the "What's Coming" video in the plenary videos section).

It is likely to be released first in beta form in the summer 2014 release of the new ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET and then be rolled out to the other SDKs in a subsequent release of the SDKs. Note it will not be added to the existing WPF SDK.

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike!

Any updates on this? 3D in the low footprint Runtime framework sounds really useful for any app related with wildland management.

Thanks!

Joaquin
