Hello,

I am using HEC GeoRAS 4.3 and HEC RAS 4.1 to do a flood inundation mapping after I run the model in HEC RAS.
I am using the tutorial "Exporting HEC-RAS Output" from the HEC-GeoRAS manual and I am following the steps outline in the tutorial. (I have tried this process 3-4 times). I am using ArcMap 9.3.1.

Exporting an SDF file from HEC RAS model works fine. Importing an SDF file and converting it into .XML file also works in HEC GeoRas. However, when I do Layer Setup of RAS Mapping, it does not produce an .mdb with feature data. I get error messages in this post attatchment:

Can anyone help me? It's very urgent for me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank so much

Is your TIN for a very large area (or very detailed)? Try converting it to a Grid with a very course cell size and then run the Layer Setup. If that works, you know everything else is ok. Then you can evaluate how to run it with your TIN (break up RAS model into tributaries) or determine what resolution of Grid is acceptable for your work.
