Environment
ArcGIS 10.2 Server Feature Service
Enterprise database(Sql Server)
ArcPad 10.2

I have created a feature service and am able to Sync data to it. But it never downloads any data.  Is there a way to enable this?  It is always skipped.

What am I doing wrong?

ArcPad 10.2 has the ability to suppress downloads when performing a sync. If this function is not selected, ArcPad will attempt to download the entire feature service dataset during a sync, which is not great for underpowered devices and limited data plans.

However, if you have editor tracking enabled on your feature service, ArcPad will be able to identify the new records and perform an incremental download.

The data from your feature service should already be in your ArcPad project using the checkout tools in ArcMap, but you need to update your features in the field you can still request downloads during sync by unchecking the following checkbox:

Thanks!  That was the issue on downloads.  I am now facing the same issues regarding "Type Mismatch" as other users appear to be having.  It works if the AXF is created from the "Copy from Server" within ArcPad, obviously there are no customization's.  However with AXF files I create using Data Manager and Add Feature Service URL to AXF it fails.
