I am trying to create a map cache on a service using custom scales, ranging from 1:300 to 1:100000. When the service is first published, either using ArcGIS Pro 2.9 or ArcMap 10.6, the minimum and maximum scales that were set in the project (1:300 and 1:100000) are reflected when I look at the service details at the REST endpoint (in the Min Scale and Max Scale settings). I used the Create Map Server Cache tool and entered in my custom scales. These cache scales are reflected in the service at the REST endpoint, however, both the minimum and maximum scales get changed, with the minimum scale always changing to 4513.988705. Because this minimum scale is now 4513 instead of 300, when I tried to use the Manage Map Server Cache tiles tool, only the scales smaller than 4513 are available. We are using ArcGIS Server 10.8.1. Any thoughts as to why this might be occurring? In the past, I was able to create caches at all of the custom scales. Thank you. Jason Buck City of La Crosse, WI

Robert, If I just open the program and add layers through a map on ArcGIS online I have no problems and get no error messages. It's only when I make the local layer widget visible do I see the 404 errors looking for the odds files. Jason

Yes, the only difference is that I have to click on the make visible button. When I open that widget, I see the default layers. I can remove those layers and add my own, but then the program stalls. I get this message from the developer tools: Refused to apply style from 'https://is-comp9-new.cityoflacrosse.org:3344/webappbuilder/apps/4/configs/LocalLayer/odds.css' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and strict MIME checking is enabled. I'm not sure why the application is looking for that file. There is no odds.css file at that location, so it just hangs. Jason Buck

Robert, Thank you for the quick response. I think I have the files in correct locations on my local install, but please tell me if these are mistaken: C:\Esri_WebAppBuilder\arcgis-web-appbuilder-2.7\WebAppBuilderForArcGIS\client\stemapp\widgets\LocalLayer C:\Esri_WebAppBuilder\arcgis-web-appbuilder-2.7\WebAppBuilderForArcGIS\client\stemapp\predefined-apps\default\config.json I made the changes to the local layer name and only copied the 2D local layer widget files from the GitHib download. Are there any other config.json files other than at the predefined-apps\default\ that need to be edited? Thanks. Jason Buck

Hello, I am attempting to use the local layer widget 2.5 (in version 2.7 of web app builder). The local layer widget is shown as one of the available widgets when I click on the widget tab. When I click the Show This Widget button, I get a 404 error message stating that the application couldn't fine an odds.json file in the application path (apps/3/configs/LocalLayer/odds.json). When I look at that path, there is no odds.json or odds.css file present. This has been causing the applications to hang up. I'm not sure if I'm not installing the widget correctly or if the file is missing widget. Thank you. Jason Buck

Mark -- thank you for the timely reply. So in order to see any changes (additions, deletions, changes to attributes, etc.), I need to recreate the story map from the AGO map every time these changes are completed? Thanks. Jason

For an existing short list story map, is it possible to add new tabs to an application, from data in an existing AGO map? For example, I have an AGO map with a service that had two values in the TAB_NAME field (parks and swimming). We since have edited the data and have added a third value (trails) in the TAB_NAME field. This service has been republished and I can see the new tab_name value in the service, and also in the AGO map that was used to create the story map. However, the existing story map does not display the new point (with the new tab value) or a new tab with the third TAB_NAME field value. The new tab and the new data do show up when I completely recreate the story map. Thanks. Jason Buck La Crosse, WI

Robert, Thanks for pointing me to that document. I ended up having to reinstall WAB along with the widget. Jason

I have added layers using the local layer widget to a web app. When I look at these layers in the Layer Name widget, I am seeing the name of the folder that these services are stored in, and not the layer name. For example, I have a directory named Basemap_Cache that contains a number of layers (streets, buildings, etc). Instead of seeing the individual layers, I see Basemap_Cache in the layer list. I have to expand Basemap_Cache layer in order to see the individual layers. When I add a map from ArcGIS online, the individual layer names are displayed. Is there anyway to have the layer list display the actual layer names? Thanks. Jason Buck

Robert, Thank you. Using the local layer widget, is it possible to use more than one basemap layer (similar to how the basemap gallery allows for choosing between basemaps)? Jason

Danielle, Try using the Symmetrical Difference tool. You could create a dummy polygon dataset that would cover the extent of the dataset with the whitespaces. Symmetrical Difference will create polygons where there is a difference between the two datasets. You can then copy the resulting data back into the dataset with the whitespaces. Jason Buck

Hello. I have an app that was created using the Web AppBuilder developer. When I initially starting creating the app, I was prompted to choose a map from AGOL. I have also put together a couple of basemaps using the Basemap widget. Right now, all three basemaps show up in the Basemap Gallery. The problem I'm having is getting the application to display one of the basemaps that I created using the Basemap widget, rather than the one I had to choose when the application was first setup. Is it possible to change or set a default basemap, other than the map I had to point to on AGOL? Thanks. Jason Buck

Robert, Thank you. That's where I have it as well. After checking Google Analytics again, I just realized that the date range being displayed didn't include today. It was actually tracking. Thank you for the confirmation on the script location. Jason

I am trying to add the Google Analytics script to a locally hosted Web App Builder site. I've put the script in the Index.html file. According to the network traffic the site is sending information to Google Analytics, however, no users are being logged. Is using Google Analytics with a web app builder site allowed or has anyone gotten this to work? If so, is there a specific location where the script needs to be placed? Thank you.
