ALL, We are early adopters of AGOL and have 100's of Web Maps and Services hosted on AGOL. So we have some experience / methods for navigating "enhancement" pushes to the system. Unfortunately, we can't figure out an issue with Mixed Content in Story Maps within AGOL. The issue is when a Story Map has mixed content, portions of the Story don't load or prevent the App from loading at all. My understanding of mixed content is having sources to http & https within the same App. We're aware of the settings in AGOL under security that reuire SSL. We don't require SSL. Should all content in a Story Map be http or https? Because having both does not work. For us this means searching through 100+ maps to ensure they all work or are free of mixed content. We're searching for a path forward. Thank you

Can Surveys be SHARED outside your Org to another Org or other means? I tried sharing through Groups but no success. I added a user from another Org Account to a Group. Then shared all content from My Survey to that Group. The Group only shows the Map and Layer, not the Code. Is Survey 123 meant for your Org only until it hits the Store?

I'm creating what I call a "Script Manager" that will fire a script based on product type. So, if the user inputs Aerial or Radius, the appropriate script is ran. I can get this to run using os.system('python C:\Sample.py' + parameter variables) The problem with this is the script is run through python window. I've been told it is more effective to use an import statement, something like this: if Product == "Aerial": import ("C:\Sample.py") What am I missing???

I can set my env.workspace to my SDE but have not figured out how to do anything with features that are in it. So, if I can list my Feature Classes within the SDE and see what Versions are available. How do I use or reference them? I want to Add them to an existing mxd based on a query like OBJECTID = 2 I know how to do this if the Features are already in the mxd. I want to access them directly from the SDE Spatial Database Connection. It seems that I'm almost there, might just need a push in the right direction. Thanks, AP

One suggestion that may or not be possible for you is to Cache in "The Cloud". You could use Amazon Cloud Services to ramp up your caching power. Then copy cache over to your local ArcGIS Server. Amazon allows you to have as much power as you like, within reason. More power = more money. This is a recommended use strategy for "The Cloud" (Caching) AP

Hi Cameron- I'm having problems using the cache in Mobile as well, please see my thread. Your solution might be solved when loading your project. Once you download the project there's an option to "Get Data" which has a slide bar of extents. You likely want to slide it over to the "Full Extent". I hope this solves your problem. Aaron

I've narrowed the problem down to Raster Services. Vector Cached Services work fine, sort of. Can anyone shed some light on how to use Mobile Cache? Is this the solution? Also, when I add Vector Cached Service in as a Cached Map Service, within MPC, labeling properties are lost. So, I have to load it as a Base Map Web Service. This may be a seperate thread but applies to my desired knowledge on what is going on. Please help, driving me nuts.

Great Info: Here's my work flow. 1. Add Aerial or Feature Class 2. Set Data Frame Properties a. Custom Extent - Current View b. Define Projection to Data Frame to (Mash w/ BING) - WGS 1984 Web Mercator (Auxiliary Sphere). 3. Save MXD 4. Publish MXD or MSD to AGS 5. Cache Service a. Have tried many formats b. Aerial preferred JPEG or PNG32 c. 72,222 down to 1000 scales 6. Anti - Aliasing a. Force and Best 7. Add Service as Base Map in MPC 8. Save AS Mobile Project directly to AGS 9. Open in ArcGIS Mobile If I Add a Published Dynamic Operational Layer on top of Cached Aerial the Dynamic Service only appears. I've tested this with just the cached Aerial as well, it does not show. Please help and thank you

Thank you both for replying. I've tried publishing from MSD and MXD, neither works once Cached. In Mobile Project Center (MPC) everything looks good. When I open in ArcGIS Mobile Cached Map Services do not display. I've not checked the cache directory on the mobile device as of yet as suggested. How or where do I check the cache directory on Mobile Device? Also, if it is not empty does anyone else have suggestions on working with Cached Map Services? There must be a reason for a Mobile Cache vs. a Standard Cache. Should I be using Mobile Cache, is this the problem?

I have a Cached - Not Mobile Cached - project published to AGS via an MSD. I can add the service via Mobile Project Center and save to AGS. The problem is that I can't view the project in mobile devices, only within desktop ArcGIS Mobile. Does anyone know what piece(s) I'm missing? Do I need to use a Mobile Cache rather than Caching a WMS with Mobile Capabilities? I appreciate your assistance, AP

Excellent to have choices, thank you very much. I've been using suggestion 3 and agree it may be the easiest. I just didn't know if there was something simpler. You've confirmed that my practices are solid 🙂 Thank you once again and enjoy, Aaron

Very helpful, thank you. Do you know if it's possible to use an address rather than plugging in x, y?? I'd think that Google could take the address and plug in the x, y. I'm working with parcel data and usually have at minimum address, taxlot #, and (x, y). I want to select a record and have that record correspond to any of these attributes. What do u think?

All- I have Word.docs that I use to populate current date, then convert to pdf. I'm automating map packs using arcpy and want to include these pdf's in my pack without first having to convert Word.docs manually. How can I accomplish this with Python? All I need is the coversion piece that will populate current date. End product is a pdf with set text but has current date. Thank you in advance, Aaron
