Hello, I have seen the Grid from ESRI: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=f11bcdc5d484400fa926dcce68de3df7 What I need is a similar grid with a finer grained grid. 0.1 degree resolution. Gues there is no download for this? Does anyone have a clue how to create this? NOT for a layout! That I found, I need the dataset! I have tried the Grid tool in AGD but it seems difficult and I don't have the correct template for the grids I need. Thank you Carsten

Hello, my question is a little off topic, but do you know how to use the OSM Layer as a starting layer? The tag for ArcGIS Server Layers is: ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer, but whats the tag for OSM Layers? Thank you for Support! Carsten

Hello Katy, any news on this bug? Will it be addressed or not? I mean it´s now over a year since it has been reported by several people. Would be nice to get a clear answer since we are still waitiiing. If not, is it a Problem also for the JavaScript based WebApp? Best regards Carsten

Hello, you obviously have to have an ArcGIS Online Subscription to get the files. Does that imply it´s no longer a free add on that you can run if you have ArcGIS Server? Is there a new licensing model behind that? Best regards

Hello, I am new to Geoprocessing tools so I just wanted to know if it's possible to create a Geoprocessor which Transforms Coordinates from one Coordinate-System into another. After that I want to publish this as a Service. Does anyone know if this is a good way to create a coordinate transformation WebService? Thanks for any help! Carsten

Hello, I´m also trying to create a view with a data table from a linked server. Unfortunately it doesn´t work. What idid: 1. creating a view using this statement: sdetable -o create_view -T WPB_2 -t WPB_join -c "*" -i sde:sqlserver:ARCGIS2010 -u sde -p Password -D GeoDB 2. I tried to modify the view in sql server management studio using the same syntax as i used for a different view I created before: SELECT wpb.Element, wpb.Name, wpb.Totaal_debiet,wpb.Gemiddelde_druk, wpb.Totaal_opslag, wpb.Status,sde.WPB_join.Status AS Expr1, sde.WPB_join.LOCATIE, sde.WPB_join.PLAATS_, sde.WPB_join.Shape, sde.WPB_join.ADRES, sde.WPB_join.OBJECTID FROM [PI_AF_LINKEDSERVER.BrabantWater].DataT.Snapshot_WaterProductieBedrijven AS wpb INNER JOIN sde.WPB_join ON wpb.Name = sde.WPB_join.ARC_Address EDIT: This works now and is my preffered approach too, BUT is not much faster then joining the data in ArcMap via joins and relates. It´s just a little more convinient to have the feature class as a whole in the sde with all the columns you want. Also make sure you use non versioned tables as underlying tables. But still if I want to create the view with sdetable tools could someone give me their syntax for creating views with data in a linked database? EDIT: The second approach is that I created a join in SQL Server Management Studio and then tried to register it. Prerequisite for the view is that it is schema bound otherwise the index cannot be build. When I now want to create this view and click on "bind to Schema" in SQL Management Studio I get an error message: Remote access is not allowed from within a schema-bound object. How can I now create a view which can be registered with SDE and joines data from a Linked Server??? Thanks!

Hello, I can see all the Values of the view in ArcMap now. I guess the reason was that it had to do with the fact the OsiSoft DB needed a special trust created on the DB-machine for the Client. Values with a Variant Datatype won´t show up though. I could also establish a join. The Problem is when I join this data within ArcMap via "rightclick on the layer" --> joins and relates, the viewer gets veeeeeery slow. Using a different way via the Arc Toolbox --> DataManagement Tools-->"Add join". I get an error saying that the table selected is not supported. Does someone know why this happens in Data Management tools and not with the other way? Thank you!

Hello, I´m trying to Connect to another WebPart from the ESRI Map WebPart in SharePoint 2010. My ESRI Map WebPart says when I want to click on Connections: "Thie WebPart you are connecting from does not allow authoring of connections." I thought I could define object ID´s here that can be sent out to other WebParts to be consumed? Is this not possible? I found a demo that showed exactly what I want to do. Has anyone an Idea of how they got this to work? http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/showcase/details.aspx?uuid=d52655d7-dd2c-4696-b441-a985705e2d56 Thank You! Carsten

Hello Steve, I work on the same project with the people who created the post on your V-Campus, that´s why there is a similar post on your OSI-Soft forum. I contacted ESRI Support Germany also about this problem and they said it´s maybe because the length of the textfields is too big for ArcGIS when using an OLE DB connection. The text field has a length of 4000. Fields with this length will be defined as BLOB and not be displayed in ArcMap according to ESRI support. Do you mean you created a view within or with help of OSISoft programms and use these views in ArcMap? I don´t want to create a SQL Query in ArcMap to get the data out of the OSI-Soft Tables since I think this should be done with the native tools of OSISoft. I hope I can connect to these views in ArcMap and join them with X-Y-Coordinate data. Thanks for your help, we will follow up on this in OSI-Soft Forum how to create these views. Carsten

Hello, thanks for your reply. I tried to view the data with 1) the native OsiSoft PI Software to access the data from this client, which worked. I also used Excel to access the data which also worked. My guess is that something with the driver is not working together with ESRI. Any suggestions what I could try also or where to look for the problem? Thank you Carsten

Hello, I´m currently working on a Project that needs to access data from a OSISoft PI Database that holds realtime waterdata. I want to join this data with Objects in my SDE and create another layer from this data. This layer I want to use to visualize data on the map in a WMS. I´ve managed to access the Database and I can see the tables and the columns in the Table. I just can´t see the data itself. Does someone know if this might be an indicator that the database driver does not work in ArcMap? I used a database driver called "PI OLEDB Enterprise" Thank you for help and any suggestions on this! best regards Carsten
