Good Morning, I have been "surfing" the internet looking for answers to the famous Named User accounts using portal. We are currently using a public facing Portal website so we can have access to our data from anywhere. The problem is that we are currently using the built in identity store in Portal with only 5 Named User accounts. My question is if we switch to using lets say our Windows Active Directory does this mean anyone in our directory can access the data, or am I still limited to only 5 users. I can't find a clear answer and don't want to spend thousands of dollars for purchasing "Named Users" when most of them will be viewing only. And turning everything to public is not a real option either, as I would like to take advantage of groups. Any clarification or other information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello, I was wondering if there is any reasons to convert Features to Graphics in order to improve performance for published services. My situation is I have building footprints, which is of course a polygon feature class, but if I convert them to graphics does this make the performance better in mobile apps? If performance would be improved, I would probably do this for the footprints, parcels and roads all as my basemap? Just checking to see if anyone has ever looked into this? I couldn't find anything online about the performance aspect. Thanks in advance! Jason

Sorry to bother you again Rebecca, but I have been trying to use the Web App Builder via my Portal, however I don't get the option of Registering it! I'm about to pull out what little hair I have. Is this something you have ever ran across. I followed the instructions to a T and it just does not give me the option??

Thank you so much for the reply Rebecca. My other question that I have focusing on WAB is if I have everything public facing. Can I have multiple people editing through the web app? Sorry but we are in the midst of migrating towards IPADS, IPHONES, etc. I was told by our IT that they can just VPN to get onto our local intranet. Since they want to share anything with the Public Public if that makes sense. Thanks for your time.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions about migrating from Flex Viewer since it will no longer be supported in the near future. I have looked at options for the web-app builder using Portal, but don't want to spend all the money on "Named Users" It seems like it was so easy to build an internal site with the Flex Viewer builder that there isn't anything close to it besides the web-app builder. I've been trying to use the mobile content server but seems like I can't add custom widgets, or haven't stumbled across the right site for help. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Our utility has recently entered into an ELA with ESRI, and we have already setup ArcGIS Server 10.3. We are currently wanting to host everything by intranet and have nothing public facing. Our goal is to setup mobile devices. My first shot was using Flex just to find out that this will not be able to be used on Tablets/smartphones. Looking at all of the available options is simply overwhelming. My question is can anybody recommend using iOS, Droid or Windows? Or is there some other app/software that would allow end users to edit from a mobile device. At this point we are open to suggestions, except for Portal as ESRI says we can only have 5 users without shelling out more money, even though everything is hosted on our own hardware. Thanks in Advance!

I just downloaded the schematics extension and trying to learn. The help file mentions opening a sample in C:/ArcGIS/ArcTutuor. I have not been able to find this could anyone point me to a link to install? I don't have a CD as I downloaded everything online. Thanks!
