We're about to decide on ArcGIS API version to use. It seems that he only lacking feature for our app in version 4 is WMS/WFS support. When ArcGIS API for Javascript 4 will support WMS/WFS ?

Adam, it seems that problems related to visibility are gone! That is great, thank you. Unfortunately I have no scale-dependent sublayers and can't test issue you describe. Also waiting for OGC support. If you are in Berlin dev summit on Dec 5-8, I definitely invite you for a gluthwein!

Adam, I have made some test with my dynamic services and it seems to me that switching layers works good now. There is an issue I fount today that was not in previous version: Layers groups within all dynamic services are checked on as not visible in map and layer list. They should be visible, as they are published as visible. And also in LocalLayer Edit Dynamic Layer window they are also marked as visible. How can I make them visible on widget startup ?

Thanks Adam, waiting for 2.2 release. Here is another example with more layers: ArcGIS Web Application Indeed, also in this application, the lowest layer has these problem. But when I run the same application with node.js then it happened to the highest layer. I believe it is related to the WAB bug I found before using LocalLayer widget. It is described here and maybe helpful for you: https://community.esri.com/thread/184506-help-to-understand-how-setvisiblelayers-works-with-wab21

I'm trying to get working ArcGIS for Server published Map services in WAB 2.1. We have ArcGIS for Server 10.1. I have added LocalLayer widget in WAB. When one dynamic map service from ArcGIS for Server added in the map using LocalLayer, everything works as expected: Layers are shown and hidden on the map when I check them in Layer List widget. But when two or more are added then check boxes can not be checked in Layer List widget. Sometimes data from all sublayers in the service are added to the map. My WAB application is published here: ArcGIS Web Application Layer List widget is in top right corner. I think the issue may be related to my previous post on the forum: Help to understand how setVisibleLayers works with WAB2.1 Have anybody experienced this behavior in WAB before?

I write a widget for WAB 2.1 where I add 3 Dynamic MapService Layers hosted on ArcGIS Server. Every layer has one sublayer visible at widget startup. var layer1 = new ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer("http://62.236.121.188/arcgis/rest/services/DataAndMaps/Background/MapServer", {"id": "Background"}); layer1.on("load", function (e) { layer1.setVisibleLayers([2]); map.addLayer(layer1); }); var layer2 = new ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer("http://62.236.121.188/arcgis/rest/services/DataAndMaps/Pressures/MapServer", {"id": "Pressures"}); layer2.on("load", function (e) { layer2.setVisibleLayers([2]); map.addLayer(layer2); }); var layer3 = new ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer("http://62.236.121.188/arcgis/rest/services/DataAndMaps/MSP/MapServer", {"id": "MSP"}); layer3.on("load", function (e) { layer3.setVisibleLayers([2]); map.addLayer(layer3); }); When the button is clicked, visible sublayers in every layers should be changed. I want to get sublayer 2 not visible and sublayer 3 becomes visible for every layer. function onLayerListItemClick(e) { layer1.setVisibleLayers([3]); layer2.setVisibleLayers([3]); layer3.setVisibleLayers([3]); } What happens on click, is that the last (of three) layer changes visibility of sublayers as expected. First layer makes visible 14 sublayers and second - 33 sublayers. I did the same task thing not using WAB, but just Javascript API for ArcGIS 3.18. And it work fine! Sublayers 2 become not visible and sublayers 3 become visible for every layer. I do not understand why is this happening. Can, please, somebody from WAB team explain what is going under calling setVisibleLayers() and what I should do to make my WAB widget do the same thing that I can do with pure Javascript API. Source code WAB Widget and JSAPI versions are attached. Kind regards, Andžej

Thank you for your help. Then I skip requirement 3 and try to implement 1 and 2 with Mapservice as you suggested. With version of JSAPI 3 I used ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer to display Mapservice. Should I use MapImageLayer to use Identify task in version 4?

The requirements are: to display 2 rasters on side by side maps so that defined pixel value ranges have same color to have pixel value identification by mouse clicking on the maps to have range slider and display on the maps just those pixels from slider range (as shown in this example Raster Layer with Pixel Filter ) I'm afraid I can not implement 3 requirement with MapService. Or I am wrong?

I have got "Pixels" option available when publishing rasters from Mosaic dataset. But to publish from Mosaic dataset Image Extension is needed and we do not have it. Looking for another way to publish Image service and have pixel access. Any ideas and help appreciated.

No, I did not calculate statistics.. I have some rasters in file GDB and publish each raster by right click and choosing Share as Image Service.. But it seems some raster preparation should be done before publishing.

I have published a raster as Image service and want to display it on the map using Arcgis api 4.0. Color of pixel should depend on raster cell value, exactly as in this example: ImageryLayer - Set a client side pixel filter | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.0 Image service is published here: AISData/CONTAINER_2013_04_test (ImageServer) and it has Min Values: 0 Max Values: 421 But when I replace Image service with mine in example's source code I get values between 0 and 255. And I get 3 bands when expected to get 1 with pixel values. I guess this issue regards this example description: "Setting the rendering rule to the None raster function gives the user the ability to get the actual value of the pixel (the sea temperature) without it being altered by another raster function or rendering rule." I also guess that None raster function is not available in my Image service, because I receive javascript Error: ImageLayerView2D.js:6 Error: {"error":{"code":400,"message":"Unable to complete operation.","details":["Do not allow execution of client function."]}} at Error (native) at .<anonymous> (http://js.arcgis.com/4.0/esri/layers/support/Raster.js:6:218) at f (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:150:21) at p (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:149:331) at resolve.callback (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:151:151) at https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:325:198 at e (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:153:423) at f (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:153:349) at b.resolve (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:155:406) at c (https://js.arcgis.com/4.0/init.js:154:287) How can I solve this issue?

That would be a way to go if wanted to deploy an AOL template based webapp. As I mentioned before I want to use WAB. As far as I know I can not import AOL template to WAB or I am wrong?
