Thanks Blake and Joshua. Yes, I am trying to find the SDE connection files on disk and not those connected to the database. This does work but unfortunately you have to enter a username and password otherwise it will fail. It would be nice to return a 'Database Platform' value like the screenshot below rather than inferring it is an Application Server connection from the returned instance service number and it would also be nice to not have to connect to the database but either way, I think I can make it work for what I need it to do. Thanks, Aron

Anyone know if you can use arcpy to get the database connection type? i.e. Oracle, Application Server, SQL Server, etc. I'm trying to find a way to identify all of the Application Server connection files in a series of folders so that I can change them to Oracle Direct Connections. To further clarify, if you look at the connection properties for a Database Connection in ArcCatalog you will see this in the Database Platform combobox. Aron

Thanks for your help. I guess it looks like I will have to put together something to get the coordinates returned in DMS. Aron

The users will enter the UTM location in a table and when they press a button the request is sent out to the geometry service and will return the coordinates in Lat/Lon. The problem is that the returned coordinate is in DD and we would like it returned in DMS. For example, entering the UTM location for Vancouver, BC, Canada (UTM Zone 10N) (wkid 26910) 489725, 5454761 returns the following when projecting to WGS_1984 (wkid 4326) Point: X: -123.141174428737 Y: 49.245535769267 We would like the output in degrees, minutes and seconds instead of decimal degrees. Here is the url using the Esri sampleserver geometry service: http://sampleserver1.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Geometry/GeometryServer/project?inSR=26910&outSR=4326&geometries=489725%2C+5454761&f=HTML Can I add something to the url to get the output in DMS? I am using a geometry service to project a point location from UTM to Lat Long. Our users would like the output to be in DMS rather than DD. Any suggestions? Thanks, Aron

Thanks for the response but unfortunately that didn't work. The Builder and Apps folders were removed from the inetpub\wwwroot folder and everything from the inetpub\temp folder was removed (except for the appPools folder). There are also no references to the folders as virtual drives or applications in IIS. A little more information for you is that the OS is 64-Bit Server 2008 and we are running ArcGIS Server for the Java Platform. Any other ideas? Thanks, Aron

I had previously installed the beta version of the Silverlight Viewer Builder and am now trying to install the production version but without success. The beta version was supposedly successfully uninstalled but when trying to install the production version there is an error that says something to the effect of "There is a previous version of ArcGIS Silverlight installed, remove and then try again". Any ideas? Thanks, Aron
