Yes very frustrating to go out into the field only to find I can't actually use Collector for mapping on my Samsung s5 because of this NMAE error. I also had Collector working before the latest update.

Hi Esri, I am aware of the recent updates to the World Imagery Basemap here in Australia. Thanks so much for the partnership with yourselves and DigitalGlobe. I am having trouble however trying to create a Tile Package from the World Imagery (for Export) layer with the error message 'Layer type is not supported'. I am sure this was previously working as I created Tile Packages which we use in Collector for our field mapping. Have I forgotten an important step when creating a Tile Package or is this possibly a result of the updated basemap? I am using the http://tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com/arcgis/services service also. Regards, Mark.

Hi Dan, Thanks for your time and input. My responses are; - Yes, all spatial extents and cell size are the same WV2(0.5mx0.5). - No, I have not undertaken any filtering yet. - I have histograms, just didn't provide them. - Yes the time stamps are weird because getting access to cloud free imagery was the difficult part due to the project's geographic location (almost at Antarctica) and growth season of the rice grass. - I have read that to compare data between different time frames, that you should normalize the data first before making comparisons? - We do have a 25mDEM, but I haven't included that yet for modelling.

I am not sure if you have heard of the invasive estuarine weed rice grass (spartina anglica), but it has an unique spectral signature even in the RGB colour bands and I am using this to map rice grass and determine its rate of spread (hectares per year) in far North West Tasmania, Australia. I have been provided with 3 datasets; April 2011, Jan 2014 and Dec 2015 and have so far managed to undertake this workflow in ArcMap; Supervised classification to identify rice grass and mudflats (field verification completed); Using the Image Analysis Window, compute the different between 2011 and 2014, 2014 and 2015 and 2011 and 2015; Create 3 study areas to reduce analysis times and which are rice grass only sites; Clip study areas within intertidal zone layer as this is where rice grass occurs; Currently 3 raster datasets outputs; Diff_2011_2014, Diff_2014_2015 and Diff_2011_2015. Current Workflow I am not sure of the next steps to take for analysis and am aware of some errors still in the data. Should I convert the above raster data sets to vector polygons and then I can manually edit and remove the errors? Or should I continue process in raster? Do I need to normalise the 3 data sets? Any suggestions are welcomed. There is the project webmap in you are interested; map. Thanks for your time and I look forward to your answer, Mark.

Hi all, For the Landsat 8 Views (Agriculture with DRA) layer in an AGOL web map, I am currently using the Cities scale (1:160,000) to turn on the layer and the Neighbourhood scale (1:20,000) to turn the layer off in the Set Visibility Range. Is this an acceptable visibility scale range and can I drop it to streets scale (1:10,000) to still view layer at 1:18,056 default scale? Thanks, Mark.

Dan, The main reason I converted to a polygon was the information is giving to a volunteer community group who are using Google Earth. No I haven't determined the distance between the two. This is the part I wasn't sure about because as you know, there are more ways than one in ArcGIS to undertake a task.

I have ArcGIS Desktop Advanced and so far have completed the following; Used Supervised classification on a satellite image to identify the invasive species with field verification. I have converted the raster to a vector polygon to get the area in hectares. Used Supervised classification in a second satellite image in the same area with a different time stamp and again converted to polygon to obtain area in hectares. I would now like to; Determine the rate of spread for this current period between the 2 satellite images/polygons and; Use this to predict future spread of the species. Can anybody offer some suggestions of the workflow to use?

Hi, Just a quick question about Landsat 8 in AGOL. I understand that Landsat 8 is 30m resolution, but is there any technique that can be used to smooth/enhance the NDVI or Agriculture Landsat layers in an AGOL web map? I have adjusted the image quality to 'best' but can I achieve better results than this for "Agriculture" or "Agriculture DRA" processing template; Thanks. Mark

Hi, I update our internal file geodatabase with shapefiles supplied by state government (parcels, roads etc). After learning Python I would like to now speed up and automate this process. My question is which arcpy function would I use to; Compare the names of the downloaded shapefiles with the names of feature classes in the file geodatabase ie parcels.shp vs parcels? Would I just use the overwrite or should I delete first and then copy new features? Thanks for your help, Mark

Russell, That's what I was trying but their seems to be a problem with the Gallery template and sharing via a group. We have this gallery online using a downloaded template from Esri GitHub; http://www.cradlecoastnrm.com/GISGallery/index.html I only wanted to add a web map and this is where the map repeatably asked for the sign in credentials even though I had entered them in the Landsat 'My Content'. However when I share the web map as a web app via the same Group, it goes onto the gallery page no problem and works fine. I will go with this option and use a simple viewer template.

row2[0] = row[0] So if a field is blank, replace it with field value from SearchCursor. Can I separate these loops to achieve the result?
