For what it is worth, after I posted my question I found that Pro would not longer even run for me without crashing. I upgraded my ArcMap to 10.6 (not as a fix just coincidentally?), completely recreated my user profile, and spent hours on the phone with ESRI Tech support. The crash seems to have something to do with accessing a network drive on my specific computer as my specific domain user because other users in my organization can log onto my computer and have no problems and I can use my profile on their computer with no problems. After upgrading to 10.6, I can bring up this python command prompt again (or is it the new user profile; I don't recommend this drastic action BTW)! After the upgrade to 10.6 (again I don't know if this was the solution) I am able to run Pro (so far so good) and access shapefiles etc. on the network drive (I just checked for the first time since that upgrade). It sill doesn't allow me to add that network drive as a saved location however which I find odd.

The one I'm referring to links to here. C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ArcGIS\ArcGIS Pro As I mentioned in the comment above, I am able to run it as Admin so that may be my solution.

Yes It points to the right target. I see the window pop up for a flash of an instant and then it disappears. I will try the batch file. Notably I just realized that it comes up and stays up if I run it as Admin (so maybe that is my solution).

Having installed both ArcGIS 10.4 and ArcGIS Pro 1.4.1, I have a suite of Python Tools installed (see screenshot). I know I successfully used the "Python Command Prompt" in the past and found it quite useful. For some reason, now when I go to open that tool, my screen flashes and the window disappears (or fails to launch correctly?). Does anyone have any suggestions for what happened or (more importantly) how I might get that working again?

You can do this (as an option) with the Javascript API so it seems it would be easy to add this (obviously useful) feature. Of course making it an option might be a little tricky for developers. I sure hope this gets added. I'm constantly trying to move the window because it is the default to have that ability in all our other (javascript API) webmaps.

This did not work for me. I had a loop running a selection and writing values to a text file and cancel would only effectively cancel the current selection. I tried cancel about 10 times before calling it quits. One thing that will always work is "End Process" in the task manager but that is probably not recommended.

That works very well and if I add an "OR" in there (line 162) with the double-pipe I could also continue to use html pages. Thanks very much for your attention to this! } else if (/\.php$/.test(fullPath.split('/').pop()) || /\.html$/.test(fullPath.split('/').pop())) {

Hi, I have created my web application with the Web AppBuilder Developer edition, downloaded the zip file and customized the index.html file. Everything works fine until I change the name to index.php. I am doing this because I have some custom php code that I want to include in the file. I can name it index2.html but <anything>.php seems to not work. Can I do this? and if so, how?

Workaround for today is save service definition (.sd) file, delete running service and replace. That seems to work.

Using 10.3 ArcGIS Server I still get the Error in my log file after seeing this dialog. Publishing worked yesterday with same map and same service. The only thing different is that I added a field to one layer. From the log file ... Method failed.HRESULT = 0x80070057 : The parameter is incorrect. . And yes the Publishing Tools ARE running on the server making this a very non-useful error message.

I combined samples for Printing with graphics https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/widget_print.html and labeling https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/util_label_point.html and I may have drawn upon this too? ... Drawing Graphics http://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/sandbox/sandbox.html?sample=toolbar_draw The map I made works except for when I go to print to PDF or JPG using the "Prep Map" and Print buttons and the problem is very specific to the use of the "Text Label" button (at the bottom of the list of buttons). The graphic points show up on the map as red dots and the text label both show up on the map in the browser but NOT in the output image. I tried setting an offset on the label and that does not seem to help. I'm beginning to think this must be a bug. Can anyone please help me with this? I made a Fiddle showing the problem. See especially my comment on line 212 in the Fiddle or see my other post on StackExchange Edit fiddle - JSFiddle I also asked this here multiple graphics added to ArcGIS javascript API map are not printing (using MapExport) reliably - Geographic Informatio…
