Hello - our pro extension connects to a secure ArcGIS Server feature service using this code: pointsLayer = (FeatureLayer)LayerFactory.Instance.CreateLayer(uri0, MapView.Active.Map, LayerPosition.AddToTop); The user is prompted to enter their credentials the first time they use the extension. Everything works as expected until the token expires. Is there a way to automatically or programmatically refresh the token before it expires? Thanks!

When the cache type is set in code, is the Cache property tab supposed to update? When I set cache type to None (or any other value), the UI has "Clear cache when the session ends" selected. Also, ArcGIS Pro doesn't seem to use the value set via code, instead it's using the value seen in the UI. ArcGIS Pro 2.7.3 is being used. featureLayer.SetDisplayCacheType(ArcGIS.Core.CIM.DisplayCacheType.None);

Thanks for the suggestion Nagma. I have ArcGIS Pro but my time using it is very limited. Do you have any documentation to create a Fill Symbol?

Is it possible to change the fill line (not outline) width of a SimpleFillSymbolStyle? We'd like to have the polygon fill be diagonal lines with a width of 4px. Thanks, Jeff

I'm using the WPF ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .Net v100.0.0.0. The application is consuming an mmpk. After a DefinitionExpression is applied to a FeatureLayer, the labels of the features are no longer displayed. How do I get them back?

We're using Developer Kit 10.1 in a vb.net win forms app. The app listens for messages in the message queue. The message contains x/y. When a message is received, the map goes to the location. When the form is visible/open the zooming works but when form is minimized it does not zoom to the correct location. These are the steps to reproduce the issue: Minimize the form Send a message containing x/y Restore/open/maximize the form and the map is in the wrong location Here is a snippet of code: Private Shared Sub ZoomMap(ByVal map As AxMapControl, _ ByVal pt As IPoint) Dim mapExtent As IEnvelope mapExtent = map.Extent mapExtent.CenterAt(pt) map.Extent = mapExtent End Sub Is this a bug? Is there another way (not using CenterAt) to get the expected behavior? Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

Not every graphic in our feature dataset has geometry and I'd like to add a column to the datagrid to identify this. Before assigning the feature layer to the datagrid graphics layer, I loop thru the graphics and add an attribute called "HasShape" and assign a value of "True" or "False" (string data type not boolean). When I debug my code, the attribute list includes "HasShape" but this is the exception I get when I bind the data to the grid: 'HasShape' property not found on 'ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Toolkit.DataSource.TempTypeMinus2021084955' Here's the code I'm using to add the attribute: Dim lyr As New ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.FeatureLayer lyr = CType(Mainpage.MyMap.Layers("MyFeatureLayer"), ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.FeatureLayer) For Each item As ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Graphic In lyr.Graphics If item.Geometry Is Nothing Then item.Attributes.Add("HasShape", "False") Else item.Attributes.Add("HasShape", "True") End If Next Mainpage.MyDataGrid.GraphicsLayer = Mainpage.MyMap.Layers("MyFeatureLayer") I do NOT auto generate the datagrid's columns so here is my code to add the "HasShape" column: Dim col As New DataGridTextColumn col.Binding = New Windows.Data.Binding("HasShape") col.Header = "Has Shape" col.Width = New DataGridLength(80.0) col.IsReadOnly = True MyDataGrid.Columns.Add(col) Please let me know if this is possible or maybe there's a better way to identify if there's a geometry. Thanks, Jeff

I dug further into the Sync Framework and it's possible to clean up the delete entries of the _tracking table so I no longer need to use the GlobalID's. Thanks.

Is there a way to save an ArcSDE feature item using the globalid rather than the objectid? If you want the details of the scenario continue reading otherwise skip to 2) below. We have a load balanced environment so our servers, database and application are duplicated on 2 servers. Users will be adding features on server 1 and server 2. These features need to be available on both servers so we are using the Microsoft Sync Framework to sync the feature class tables. We're running into 2 problems: 1) Objectid's can be reused after being deleted. Ex: Create a feature and it's assigned objectid 1000 on server 1. Run the sync process to add objectid 1000 to server 2. Delete objectid 1000 and sync so it's removed from both tables. Since objectid's are reused (they're not sequential) objectid 1000 might/will be reused and when it is reused it will not sync with the other table because it's in the change tracking table as being deleted when it was used the first time. 2) To avoid the problem in #1, I changed the primary key from objectid to globalid to make the sync framework work properly. Now I have 2 different features in the table with the same objectid. When I edit one, the other also gets updated. Is it possible to save, delete, etc. based on globalid rather than objectid? I hope I explained this well enough. Thanks. -Jeff

It does look like a custom projection. I'm new to the GIS industry and the API has worked for all of the other customer files so I think it's safe to say it's custom. Thanks for all the time and help lshipman and dsousa.

We re-projected the data from HARN to UTM and now it's working! Is the API supposed to work with the HARN projection or is there something wrong with our data? Should the API work with all projections? Sorry if I missed any limitations mentioned in the documentation.

I had to do some digging to get the history of this geodatabase. My situation is a little different than the original post. The data started in a 9.3 personal geodatabase. Upgraded to 10.0 using SP 4. Imported the table into a file geodatabase. We're using API v1.2 for VS 2010. Thanks. here are the details of the Stack Trace from the exception: at Esri.FileGDB.Geodatabase.OpenTable(String path) in f:\\filegdb_api\\src\\esri.filegdbapi.\\geodatabase.cpp:line 232\r\n

We have 2 controls on a page. One comboxbox and one featuredataform. The combobox contains user names and their id. One of the attributes of the graphicsource is assignedto. I added the SelectionChanged event to the combobox which modifies the attribute. The correct id displays in the featuredataform but the commit button remains disabled; therefore, not allowing the user to save their changes. Is there a way to enable the commit button allowing the user to save their changes? We're using the Silverlight 2.4 API, Visual Studio 2010, and Silverlight 4. Thanks, Jeff
