I am having the same problem. To compound the issue the existing hosted features are deleted as well. The old service definition is only left behind. I use AGO to host all feature data consumed by our Cityworks online platform. I have been using this workflow for several years now. I use ArcMap because of the geometric network. When I reported this issues to ESRI I was given a work around and told that this is a known bug but it has been closed. Currently we're not ready to switch to ArcPro and migrate to the Utility network but I guess that's the true solution. See partial email below... Hello Michael, There is a BUG that has been logged on July 7 for this issue and the bug number is : BUG-000150632 and the public status is known limit and the bug has been closed by them. What I received from the Dev, they provide those workaround: 1.Make a copy of the geodatabase/container a.Delete the geometric network itself - which will leave the feature dataset and its containing objects intact 2.Add our copied dataset (without the geometric network) to the contents pane in ArcGIS for Desktop 3.Choose File > Share As > Service 4.Choose whichever is applicable a.Publish A Service b.Overwrite an Existing Service 5.Complete requirements for publishing 6.Publishes successfully But I will try my best to discuss with our Tech Lead what we can do for this either reopen the bug or provide more efficient alternative. .... It's not an answer but is more information.

Can someone shed some light on why I would get the "Failed to create the specified relationship class. The table name is invalid." message? I've renamed the table and even create a different table to see if that would work. Still same message. The purpose for the relationship is to prepare an Air Release Valve inspection layer for our field crews to use in the Collector app to inspect the arv's. The plan is to establish a relationship between the ARV feature class and the Inspection report's table. I am using ArcCatalog to create the relationship class. I will then create an ARV Map with both FC and table added and publish map to AGOL. Appreciate any insight on the issue.relationship-class

Michael, Thank you for your quick reply. Yes you are correct, the line is still continuous but now its a line. The sewer line need to be a single line segment with junctions only at the manholes. Notice what happens when manhole M3-MH-24100 is moved. Instead of the gravity main from M3-MH-24200 connecting directly to M3-MH-24100 it bends at the vertex (junction) at the lateral. (See screen shots) I guess what I should have asked is is there away to have the added laterals to connect to the sewer main without a junction being created at the intersection of the lateral and the gravity sewer. I've seen it done before but do not know how to it was done. The Sewer main and the laterals are both Complex Edges in the SewerStormwater_Net. Thanks, M. Marcus

When using the 'Add Lateral at Connection' tool in the the Water Utility Editing toolbar it adds a vertex at the intersection of the feature line. How do I stop it from doing this? I am connecting clean-out points to the gravity sewer main. The gravity main need to be one continuous line feature. (See screen shot).

Hi all, I've published a water and sewer map that has as-built plans in pdf format attached to a buffer feature class around the utilities' piping. When I open the published map in ArcReader I can access the pdf's using the identify tool. I read on ESRI's blog that the attachments can also be accessed using the HTML pop-up tool. "HTML pop-ups are a useful way to view multiple attachments for a feature at the same time. They work not only in ArcGIS Desktop but also in web applications, ArcGIS Explorer, or ArcReader." I can not find the tool in ArcReader. Am I missing it or is it just not available in Arc-Reader? I appreciate any insight on the matter. Thanks

Last week I upgraded to ArcGIS 10.4. I couldn't get the add-in for Trimble Positions to install. Come to find out, it's not compatible with ArcGIS 10.4. My question is does anyone know of a work around to importing GPS points from Terrasync to ArcMap? One thought is to stop using Trimble Terrasync and install Arcpad on the hand held (Geo 7) and use the ArcPad Data Manager. The Tech Support for Trimble told me to go back to the older version of ArcMap. I'd rather not but if that's what I need to do I'll do it. I appreciate any recommendations. Thanks

Matt, I did use a few generic features while mapping. I came across a few unexpected items that needed to be collected for clarity that were not apart of my DDF. I will add a few "misc" features in my data dictionary to cover such situations. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this questions but here goes... I'm trying to check in an ssf file into ArcMap 10.2 using Trimble Position Desktop Add-in 10.3.0.2. I was able to check in two of the three projects that were transferred from the Trimble Geo 7 unit using TerraSync software. The third ssf file returns an error message. Can someone explain what this means and how I might resolve this. Thanks

My question is how many members are you allowed to invite to jion your private organization in AGOL with an ArcMap desktop subscription? I have my field crew (5) sharing my AGOL account, loging in under the same UN and PW. They're using Collector for ArcGIS as a map viewer. Thanks
