Hey Rex! Hope all is going well. It's been a while, so I don't remember exactly what we did to resolve this, if anything. To be honest, we may have just stuck it out until an AGS upgrade, but our issue was of course on development which allowed us that flexibility. There were are few issues we had going on around this time, so here are some things we did around that time to resolve issues ... maybe one of them will be useful? - Created a new, identical map service and used that in place of the one with the issue - Restarted AGS and then the server itself (I know this is an obvious one, but it's amazing how many times it has resolved our issues.) - Republished the service, removing one layer at a time, to determine if one layer was the culprit or if it was an issue with the service/AGS. - Republished the service pointing to a copy of the data. Copy of the data wasn't a copy/paste or import, but a clean feature class, import schema, then append. Also I'll double down on David's suggestion of Anti-Virus software. I know that was a major issue for us at one time in a previous AGS release. Simple rule change cleared it all out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Shaun

A few years later and this issue popped up again with Build 370. This time I was able to stumble upon a solution. For this single use who was not being able to authenticate, we stripped the domain from his login name and it worked. All other users can only authenticate with domain included, but this one individual is the exception. For example, "domain\username" fails, but "username" authenticates correctly. Hope this helps anyone who stumbles across the same issue.

A while back, Explorer for ArcGIS on iOS was updated and included some pretty significant changes to the app, especially with regards to finding and navigating content. Does anyone know if there is a timeline to upgrade the Android app with similar changes? Unfortunately, our organization is a mix of Android and iOS and teaching classes in this mixed environment is .... crazy hard.

Hello Everyone, We have an app put together in Web AppBuilder. It contains a secure service. When we have the app configured to not use a proxy, the print widget works fine with the secure service. No issues. However, if we enable the proxy, the secure service functions well with all the other widgets, but it doesn't seem to be playing nice with the print widget. It errors out with the following response (looking at the network tab in firefox's inspect element) If I compare the parameters being passed in both situations, I find that when the proxy is not enabled and the user is forced to login, the parameters passed to the print service include a token whereas the parameters with the proxy enabled fail to include a token for the print service. Any ideas on how to get the print widget to work with a secure service when a proxy is being used?

I am in the exact same situation. How did you add the token to the JSON request? Thanks!

Thanks Jonathan. I figured this out shortly after posting. Our need really was only to geocode a single address, then find intersecting project area. For this workflow I found that just calling the geocoding service and decoding the JSON response worked great. Turns out, it was also much faster than using arcpy.GeocodeAddresses_geocoding. gcUrl = "https://mapviewer.lynchburgva.gov/arcgis/rest/services/Locators/Composite/GeocodeServer/findAddressCandidates?Street=&City=&ZIP=&SingleLine="+ arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0) + "&outFields=&maxLocations=&outSR=&searchExtent=&f=pjson" response = urllib.urlopen(gcUrl) data = json.loads(response.read()) with open('gcAddress.json', 'w') as outfile: json.dump(data, outfile) gcPoint = arcpy.Point(data["candidates"][0]["location"]["x"], data["candidates"][0]["location"]["y"]) arcpy.MakeFeatureLayer_management(projectArea,projectArea_Layer) arcpy.SelectLayerByLocation_management(projectArea_Layer, "INTERSECT",arcpy.Geometry ("point", gcPoint, arcpy.Describe(projectArea).spatialReference),"","NEW_SELECTION")

I have a python script that involves some geocoding. For the geocoding, I am using an existing locator service hosted on our AGS. When I go to publish the python script as a geoprocessing service, it wants to copy the locator to the server. Is there a way to publish a geoprocessing script that uses an existing locator service without having to copy the locator to the server? AGS 10.2.2

Geri, Not sure if you ever got this resolved or not, but we recently ran into an issue with our contours not downloading. Turned out to be an issue with the number of vertices. We generalized our data (at .05' tolerance) and it cleared up our issue. The other option was to host the data on AGOL which of course consumes credits. Thanks, Shaun

We have a service that is secured within AGS. AGS is using windows authentication as the user store and ArcGIS Server built in as the role store. We are accessing the service through a web adaptor that sits outside our firewall with windows authentication enabled. We are able to add the feature service to an AGOL map, but we are receiving the following error: Is it not possible to edit a secure service within AGOL? We are trying to create an AGOL map to use Collector for ArcGIS. We need to edit directly in our database (feature service) and to have the service secured. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are an ArcGIS 10.2.2 shop.

I created a python add-in using the python add-in assistant. The add-in included a class for triggering the openDocument (self) event. However, it never fires. I dumbed down the method to only include a pythonaddin.messagebox statement, with no luck at all. If I use the same approach, but with the startup(self) event, it works great. I've tried adding a delay using time.sleep without any success. Using ArcGIS 10.2.2, windows 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Courtney, I believe our issues started at 930 this morning with the final successful download having been the addresses dataset. At the time of my original post, none of our datasets were downloading. I removed the entire group from the Groups Manager, updated the entire index, readded the group, and updated the entire index again. This didn't appear to immediately work, although some of our datasets started to come back online. I've found that the remaining datasets that are still broken are ones that we attempted to download this morning while troubleshooting. Manually hitting the "Reset Dataset and Downloads" button appears to clear these. (maybe they are still cached from when the datasets were failing?) I've left a few broken: Dataset | City of Lynchburg Open Data -- Addresses Dataset | City of Lynchburg Open Data -- River Centerline Dataset | City of Lynchburg Open Data -- Edge of Pavement Thanks for the quick response Courtney.
