I was able to get this to work for postgresql 13 - had to look in the postgresql log files to see what the actual domain was. Then once it was added to the pg_ident file, I was able to connect using operating system authentication. Grants and permissions needed to be handled via a sql script but it does work.

Regarding special characters in the login name, do you know if using mapping in the postgresql pg_ident.conf would work? I see some examples in some recordings like this one ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWb7t8J73Fc ) and have attempted it but can't get it to work yet. Example of a mapping in pg_ident: # MAPNAME SYSTEM-USERNAME PG-USERNAME SSPI XWikiDBOwner@youraddress postgres Then a reference is placed in the pg_hba.conf file host all postgres 127.0.0.1/32 sspi map=SSPI Thanks for any insight!

Thanks for posting this. We had migrated our app and database servers from 10.7.1 to 10.8.1 and I was unable to add an external event in the 10.8.1 ALRS. I would get the following error: Save ALRS- Error: Notifications - Version name not valid. After installing this patch, it worked. THANKS!

We have the same issue with 10.7.1 on Windows as well. After looking at the W3SVC1 logs, it appears to be a series of GET, HEAD, and POST ArcGIS+Pro+2.5.0 requests to services that don't exist on our server any more. The requests are made every hour. I don't know how to stop them, so if you know more, please let me know.

We figured it out. We have both ArcGIS Pro (64bit) and ArcGIS desktop (32bit) installed and it was causing some licensing/library confusion with python and the idle editor. So we installed pyscripter 32bit version and were able to access the licenses and libraries required to run this. Thanks for the help, Kyle and Nathan. Hopefully this will help others along the way.

I was using a 10.4 python version which could not access the license. Now that I'm using the 10.5 version, I can. HOWEVER, I get the same error when importing from a toolbox. When I use the example2 script, it also fails, but with the following error: AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'RelocateEvents_locref' Any ideas on that one? Thanks so much for getting back with me on this.

I'm working on the same type of process using python to call the RelocateEvents_locref from the locref toolbox but, I can't get it to work due to not being able to get a highway license, which we have 4 available. Also, I'm getting: TypeError: RelocateEvents() takes no arguments (9 given). But since I'm unable to check out a license, the "no arguments" error may just be a repercussion.

Postgres materialized views work in ArcMap 10.5. Not sure about 10.6. The geometry column needs to be named shape and you need a unique identifier column in order for all of the rows to show up.

When using our composite geocode service in ArcMap, the log files fill up with the following errors when the user runs the rematch. Method failed.HRESULT = 0x80004005 : Unspecified error . Request with this name is not supported I set the logs to record debug information and this entry occurs before the Method failed error: .\CompositeLocator.cpp(4678): CHECK_HR((_ParallelCompositeLocatorMatch( getMappingsMethod, matchMethod, backupPlan, pInput, ppResult))) failed in long __cdecl CompositeLocator::_CompositeLocatorMatch(void (__cdecl WL::* )(class Mappings *&,class Mappings *&),long (__cdecl IAddressCandidates::* )(struct IPropertySet *,struct IArray **),struct IPropertySet *,struct IArray **,int, long (__cdecl *)(struct ILocator *,struct IPropertySet *,struct IArray **)) Has any one had the same type of issue and come up with a resolution? Thanks very much. Sonia

We have ArcGIS 10.3 installed on 3 windows 2012 servers that participate in a site configuration. Last week I installed the 10.3.1 Geocoding Maintenance patch on all three. But now, we can't publish consistently. Nearly every other time, we get the Packaging succeeded, but publishing failed error, when attempting to publish a service. Upon reviewing the GP Results, we get the following Failed. AutomationException: 0x80040111 - ClassFactory cannot supply requested class Error: the servers publishing job didn't succeed. In the arcgis server logs, we get the following errors: The containing process for System/Publishing Tools job 'jobname' has crashed All three servers have the same patches installed. ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Server ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Server Geocoding General Maintenance Patch ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Server Security Update 2 Patch Esri Roads and Highways 10.3.1 for Server Any ideas regarding solutions, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much, Sonia

I don't have access to 10.4 right at this time, but I'm going to want to deploy an ArcGIS Server 10.3.1map service with these materialized views. So even if I had 10.4 desktop, would it even work with ArcGIS Server 10.3.1?

We had a similar situation too in version 10.31. Three errors would generate every minute Failed to stop the server machine Failed to synchronize machine An error was encountered while synchronizing with the config store Our solution was similar to Alex, except we were unable to remove the server from the site so we did the following: Using the admin utility, unregister the problem server On the problem server bring up services and restart the ArcGIS server service Using arcgis manager, add it as a machine - it took about 5-6 minutes to process and it added it as a machine and to the cluster
