Hello,

I have a sanitary sewer structure layer that is one of many layers running as a map service for my engineering application.  Within the attribute table of this layer are 6 fields that contain network file paths to .jpg images (see attachment).  I would like users within ArcGIS Online to be able to click on these as selectable links within the pop-up window so they may bring up the images stored on our server for their viewing.  Is this possible?

Thank you.

Jeff,

The only way to make those images available for AGOL is to change those file paths to urls. This is actually quite easy to add a virtual directory to IIS that points to your network drive location. Then the Photograph field would have urls containing http addresses instead of paths that do not exist on AGOL servers.

Hi Robert,

That sounds like the best path forward.  I don't have any experience with IIS.

Can you provide or recommend sources for detailed instructions on how to set up such a virtual directory?

Thanks.
